Chapter I General

Article 1 The name of this institution is “China Survey Data Database” and the English translation is China Survey Data Archive, abbreviated as CSDA.

Article 2 This institution is affiliated to the “National Natural Science Foundation-Peking University Management Science Data Center”.

Article 3 The mission of this organization is to establish a benchmark for China's survey data quality, advocate China's survey data sharing fashion, promote quantitative research in social and management science, and achieve international excellence in data management and services.

Business Scope

Article 4 The business content of this organization is to integrate and integrate domestic high-quality research and scientific research data resources, realize convenient data sharing through professional data management and monitoring, and provide high-level data services for scientific research and decision-making management. The specific business scope is as follows:

Research institutions or researchers are encouraged to personally store and share research data in various fields, actively expand the collection of data databases, and promote the diversification of data.

Professional management of stored data, including data cleansing and specification, data classification and encryption, metadata extraction and organization, and data set update maintenance.

The data is released on the open research data platform of Peking University, and the data browsing, retrieval, downloading and online analysis services are realized, and the reference of the data is standardized to protect the intellectual property of the data.

Manage the rights of data users, respond to users' problems and needs in a timely manner, and maintain relationships with data users.

Provide data analysis services or support to database consultants, data contributors, and survey project partners.

Article 5 This institution establishes an expert steering committee, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China-Peking University Management Science Data Center employs well-known experts in various research fields in China to make a clear identity by issuing letters of appointment and publicizing experts on the official website. The duties of the Expert Steering Committee are:

Set database development goals and participate in the development of goals-related policies;

Develop evaluation criteria for data and participate in the assessment of the quality and value of data stored in the database;

Attend an annual expert meeting to discuss the development direction and business development of the database.

Elect the chairman of the expert steering committee.

Article 6 The Chairman of the Expert Steering Committee shall be elected by the members of the Committee for a term of five years. The duties of the chairman of the committee are

Sign the document on behalf of the committee and participate in database related activities.

Convene and host the expert steering committee meeting.

Article 9 The establishment of the management committee of this institution shall be appointed by the National Natural Science Foundation of China - Peking University Management Science Data Center. The responsibilities are:

Development planning and implementation plan for the design database.

Formulate rules and regulations for database management.

Conduct business activities in the database.

Expand the external cooperation of the database.

 Management System

Article 10 This organization signs the “Data Data Sharing Cooperation Agreement” with the Open Research Data Platform of Peking University, and fulfills its responsibilities and obligations regarding data release and service in accordance with the provisions of the agreement.

Article 11 This institution signs the “China Survey Data Database Data Data Storage Agreement” with the research institution or individual that deposits the data, and fulfills the responsibility and obligations related to data management and storage in accordance with the provisions of the agreement.

Article 12 This organization implements membership-based group management for data users, and reviews membership and sets data usage rights in accordance with the provisions of the “China Survey Data Database Member Management System”.

Article 13 This organization and the data user shall sign the “China Survey Data Database Data Use Agreement” and perform the legal and normative responsibilities and obligations for the use of the data in accordance with the provisions of the agreement.

 Amendment procedure

Article 14 The amendments to the Articles of Association shall be approved by the National Natural Science Foundation of China-Peking University Management Science Data Center in consultation with the Expert Steering Committee.

 Supplementary

Article 15 The Articles of Association shall enter into force on January 1, 2016. If the provisions of this charter are inconsistent with national laws, regulations and policies, the national laws, regulations and policies shall prevail.

Article 16 The right to interpret the Articles of Association is the National Natural Science Foundation of China - Peking University Management Science Data Center.
