"Chinese Social Sciences(CSS) Comprehensive Survey "
The comprehensive survey of social conditions in China is a nationwide large-scale continuous sample survey project initiated by the Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2005. On the basis of successful cooperation in 2015, in 2017, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences again commissioned the China Social Science Research Center of Peking University to be responsible for all phases of the project, including system development, questionnaire development, sample data preparation and import, sample distribution, technical support, Perform feedback, data cleansing, access to data backup, and more. 2017 is the first year of the National Institute of Social Sciences' computer-assisted interviews (CAPI). The sample covers 30 provinces and cities nationwide and 596 villages. By the end of December, a total of 9,718 questionnaires were collected. The use of CAPI for household surveys, timely monitoring to improve the accessibility of interviewers, to ensure the quality of the questionnaire and the progress of the visit.
